| 7. All beings,
O son of Kunti go into My Prakriti at the end of a kalpa. I send them forth
again at the beginning of the next kalpa. Prakriti: the inferior one composed
of the three gunas. The end of a kalpa is the time of dissolution (pralaya,)
and the beginning of a kalpa is the time of production (utpatti). Thus:

| 7. Thus during their state
of sustentation the objects which are in Me; at the end of the Kalpa (cycle),
get submerged in My Prakriti; through this Prakrit I alone create them at
the beginning of the new cycles. |
